About Kelly Kagamas Tomkies
Kelly Kagamas Tomkies is an award-winning freelance writer, editor and proofreader with more than 15 years of editorial experience. She is the author of five books on launching and developing careers published by Ferguson Publishing and Vault, and she has contributed to two National Geographic books, Big Idea and The Science of Everything (to be published in 2013).
She has served as editor of The Women's Book, Smart Business, Midwest Food Service News and Christian Family magazines and has edited book manuscripts for publishers, publishing service companies and individual authors.
Ms. Tomkies lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband, Kevin, their son, Duncan, two dogs, a cat and an African-clawed frog named Kermit.
