Warhawk Air Museum
The museum debuted in Nampa in 2001 and features collections related to area military history. Artifacts and exhibits are on display from World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Cold War, Iraq War and Persian Gulf War. The main highlight is a collection of 11 warcraft that saw combat duty, including a Mustang fighter, Sabre jet, two MiG fighters and a Panther Jet.
Nampa Train Depot Museum
A group of citizens formed the Canyon County Historical Society and decided in 1972 to preserve the historic Nampa Train Depot from demolition. Today, the depot is open every Friday and Saturday in downtown Nampa. Several artifacts and exhibits document the region’s vast railroad and cultural history.
Historic Downtown Walking Tour
The entire Main Street district of downtown Nampa is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with 20 buildings and sites preserved and on display to the public. Highlight buildings include the Dewey Palace Hotel, Masonic Temple, Tiny’s Cocktails, Bon Ton Bakery and Nampa Department Store.
